ERAS belongs to the small GTPase superfamily. Ras family. Ras proteins bind GDP/GTP and possess intrinsic GTPase activity. The ERas gene is expressed in embryonic stem (ES) cells and promotes their in vitro proliferation and tumorigenicity.
